- British and French Graves at the Thiepval Memorial

These
300 British and 300 French graves at the Thiepval Memorial are a
symbol of the joint sacrifice made by the Allies during the Great
War. They are on the position of the old German front line, at the
place where defending troops stood on their parapet and taunted
the British soldiers pinned down in No Man's Land on 1st July.
