Troops Convalescing

Troops recovering in Liverpool, probably after playing a part in the Somme Offensive. In the front row, third from right (with hat) is Private (33469) Robert Payton, the grandfather of the contributor of this photo. He was in the Royal Berkshire Regiment (battalion unknown) from 1914 to 1916 and any information about him or any other of the group pictured is eagerly sought.
