Gallery - Kitchener Officers in Training

Trainee Officers somewhere in France or Belgium. 6th from left and facing the camera is 2nd Lt. Iorwerth "Iolo" Griffiths. Iolo was in the 7th Bn., East Lancashire Regiment. He was killed on Wednesday 5th July, 1916 during the final stages of the capture of La Boiselle, a village fortress which had been one of the objectives on 1st July.
